All it takes is a careless thought
A crumb idly thrown to the birds
Then off comes the head of another icon
Who didn’t realize the weight of their words

But who exactly set the scales?
And who’s calculated the expense
Of branding any edgy joke or controversial remark
As a capital offense?

And if you think it’s justified
For your ideology to cohere
Tell me what is an ideology worth
That’s only held intact by fear?

We don’t want your righteous fascism
We don’t need no thought police
Progressiveness imposed by coercion
Isn’t progressive in the least

We don’t want your bad faith politics
Smearing shades of sharp contrast
Your revolution is just another tyranny
